Sapphire Blue

Sapphire Blue

Stone shone so bright

He sat on my hand with beauty and might

Without my knowledge he led me to the deep

Then struggled to drown me over and over

Tricky, strenuous, and vulgar attempts

When I thought I could no longer survive

I gained Hope and fought the Ferocious tide

Gasping for breath the Blue no longer could hold

I fought for the surface

Finally, washed up on glowing sand

With battle scars and exhausted soul

I looked once again to my stone

My heart sank with grief for what I saw

Because of water treading

The blue was dissolved

My sapphire clear, void of pulse and love

Empty for good, and Now

My breath undimmed and calm

With no more tears I sighed,

"I am glad my sapphire blue is gone."
