Train

January 18, 2017

(poem originally written on August 26, 2016)

Oh, that soft song starts in my soul
Slowly building as the train rolls.
It rumbles so quietly under me feet.
Disrupted by voices that strangers speak.
Lead me home
Please lead me home
Song of old and song of harm.
Then disembark that child of old
Never ever to be sold.
